Shipbuilding is an industry where team effort and managerial skills are put to an extreme and gruelling test. Harnessing and retaining the right human resources are crucial to the success of this activity.

At the top end Shoft has more than fifty qualified engineers, graduates from premier institutions. The company’s core strength comes from a group of production stalwarts who teamed up with Shoft in 1987 and now lead initiatives. They are fully supported by dedicated fitters, welders and supervisors, most of them as experienced and committed.

Shoft is fortunate. The company enjoys an unusually high loyalty from employees and contractual associates. The rate of attrition is probably the lowest in the industry.

The 900 strong skilled workforce iis distributed over various sites. This manpower is readily re-allocated to other locations to meet changing requirements.
